Icubed consulting were commissioned to undertake design, approval and construction management on Stage 2 of the Proximity@Yatala Industrial subdivision.
Completion of the subdivision works in this prime industrial estate sees the creation of 8 new lots ranging from 5431m2 to 1.604ha in size.
As part of the works, the existing detention basin for the larger estate was retrofitted to include a wetland, which will enhance the quality of the stormwater runoff from the development. By utilising the existing detention basin area for the stormwater quality treatment, icubed were able to increase the overall yield of the subdivision resulting in a real increase in value to the Client and future property owners.
icubed were able to provide an integrated approach to the design of the development due to their broad range of consultancy services provided in-house, creating efficiencies in both the overall cost and timeframe for the delivery of the project design, documentation, approval and construction supervision.
The consultancy services that were showcased in the delivery of documentation included:
- Civil engineering design of sediment and erosion control, earthworks, roadworks and drainage, stormwater quality and quantity (wetlands), water reticulation and sewerage reticulation
- Ecological reporting for Open Space Management Statements, Vegetation, Rehabilitation and Fauna Management, and
- Landscaping design of the retrofitted wetland system.
