Travis Smith obtains Accreditation as Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC)
icubed consulting is pleased to announce that Principal Civil Engineer, Travis Smith, has recently earned his accreditation as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).
As part of a development, it may be an authority requirement to engage a CPESC. The CPESC will design a management plan for water run-off and dust control through-out all phases of construction to mitigate the potential impacts of excessive erosion and sedimentation. These impacts include loss of fertile topsoil, filling of lakes and creeks, increased flooding, structural damage to buildings and roads and of course damage to plant and animal life.
As a CPESC, Travis can assist clients by navigating the authority approval process, designing erosion and sediment control and stormwater management plans that comply with regulations, while helping ensure that these plans are effectively implemented. This will continue to become more important as state and federal governments propose greater focus on and regulation of the erosion and sediment control issues associated with construction.
“The CPESC accreditation training has enforced a focus on erosion control as a measure to reduce the soil loss.I have a broadened knowledge of sediment and erosion control measures to assist our clients with innovative and practical solutions, while meeting regulated best practice”, said Travis.
icubed consulting is excited to be able to provide this new service for our current and future clients.
