Situated on the edge of the Witmack Industrial Park (part of the larger Toowoomba Enterprise Hub) the Toowoomba Technology Power Plant (TTPP) is FK Gardner and Sons first development foray into the energy sector.
The project involves the creation of a 100MW gas power plant and 50MW solar farm which will operate in synergy 24/7 to support the electricity needs of the nearby Toowoomba Data Centre. There are also future plans afoot to capture and utilise CO2 for industrial applications and/or to improve rural enterprise productivity.
The team at icubed consulting including Elizabeth Cruice, Dr Justin Harvey, Travis Smith, Katherine Leggett, Morgan Warnock, Sarah Greinke and Natasha Gouriev were involved in the project management for development approval, Town Planning Application, Storm water Management, Traffic Impact Assessment, Air Quality Impact Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment for TTPP.
icubed were thrilled to achieve development approval within 4 months for this significant project.
