Hitachi Perth

Location: Allen Road, Forrestdale Western Australia

Integrally with Hitachi, icubed has provided cost planning and feasibility services in full architectural, structural, civil and hydraulic engineering and town planning services to gain approvals and project manage the construction of a new Corporate Services Facility in Perth, Western Australia.

This has included researching current short falls in previous projects, working with Hitachi’s architectural and engineering divisions in Japan and the local and national representatives of the company, to plan the most efficient means of providing 22,800 sq.m of floor area over a 10 hectare site. This includes an 8,000 sqm parts warehouse, a construction machinery work shop, a mining assembly building including two x 80 tonne gantry cranes, a reman-manufacturing facility for booms wheel motors and hydraulic pumps plus a 1,800 sqm office and amenities building.

This process has also looked to improve Hitachi’s corporate image in the ways of improving office functionality, presentation of visitor and staff aesthetics, along with the typical functionality and productive work environments previously provided to them.
icubed have also worked in conjunction with the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority on the project to assist in identifying the approval process and requirements for the Forrestdale Business Park West Industrial Estate in which Hitachi reside.
Construction of the first stage is complete taking approximately 2.5 years.
