Emerald Solar Park

Location: Emerald, QLD

The Emerald Solar Park was the first large-scale solar project in Queensland to sign a corporate power purchase agreement. The 72MW project was constructed near the Central Queensland town of Emerald on agricultural land and became operational in February 2019. The project involved installation of approximately 250,000 solar photovoltaic panels on a single axis tracking system as well as construction of site office, laydown area and inverters. The project is to be connected through the existing Emerald Substation.
