icubed were engaged by Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) to complete the civil balance of plant design for the Ferguson Wind Farm.
The boutique wind farm, developed by BayWa r.e, is located near Simpson in south-western Victoria, and will consist of three turbines, almost 200 metres tall, fixed to some of icubed’s largest foundations designed to date. Each of the foundations will be constructed monolithically, with approximately 730 cubic metres of concrete for each foundation.
icubed have been working closely with CPP and civil contractor OTM Civil to expedite the civil design for the project in anticipation of the imminent, hard-hitting western Victorian wet season. Special thanks to Scott Stedall and Andrew Sims for all their efforts.
Site works are progressing well – OTM completed topsoil stripping works last month and bulk earthworks are well and truly underway.
This project will be the sixth wind farm delivered with icubed’s long-time construction partners CPP and OTM.
