Final Turbine Foundations Down at Crudine Ridge Wind Farm

The 37th and final Wind Turbine Generator foundation (WTG) has been poured at Crudine Ridge Wind Farm. The 365 cubic metre reinforced concrete foundations have been installed to support 3.8 MW GE turbines, with a 91.5 metre hub height, and a rotor diameter of 137 metres.

As well as the WTG foundations, icubed consulting has designed the internal access tracks, drainage and crane hard standings, and over 20 kilometres of external roads leading to the wind farm site. Crudine Ridge Wind Farm located south of Mudgee, NSW, is another in a growing list of projects delivered for Zenviron, and the project developer CWP.

icubed’s site presence at Crudine Ridge has been joint effort, with Site Engineer Michael Watt taking the reins to see out the final foundation pours. The final pour was celebrated with a barbecue, with Michael and Zenviron’s Nathan Connolly on the tools.
