Construction is underway for Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia’s (HCMA) latest facility. The project forms Stage 2 on the 4-hectare site nestled between Coulson and Tile Streets in Wacol. The new facilities will see a 7500 sqm warehouse with adjoining office, new branch office and workshop facility expected to be completed by early 2020.
icubed have managed this project from conception and master planning, town planning and approvals management, architectural, structural, civil and hydraulic engineering, landscape design, ecological advisement through to risk management. We are currently continuing to provide a heavy site presence through construction.
Like all Hitachi projects, the design was undertaken with Hitachi’s exceptional safety and quality standards in mind in addition to the operational needs of the Construction Machinery business. The workshop is heavily fitted out with specialist paint booths, wash bays, oil, air and water reticulation, large overhead and jib cranes working at heights provision throughout.
A massive amount of work and coordination was undertaken to develop this complex site. With a waterway running behind the site, special care and consideration has been undertaken to protect the local fauna and flora before, during and after construction with a rehabilitation program in place post construction.
Managing through construction with builder Deluca Constructions, icubed is elated to be working with Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia again and look forward to this momentous project seeing completion and occupancy.
