Rohan has worked as a structural engineer for over ten years, eight of which have been with icubed. In that time he has had exposure to a variety of different projects in the residential, commercial, infrastructure and industrial building industries.
Rohan has had the opportunity to undertake design responsibilities for projects large and small, and has been actively involved with inspection, client liaison and supervision roles. This has enabled him to grow into a project leader who can manage and provide input throughout each stage of the development process.
Rohan has a strong technical background in the design of timber, steel, concrete and reinforced masonry structures. He has applied these skills to assist in the design of industrial warehouses, residential buildings, commercial offices (internal and external), peer reviews and the design of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) road bridges, boardwalks, jetties, wharves and pedestrian bridges around Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.
In 2017, Rohan presented his research in pedestrian-induced excitation of lightweight FRP bridges at the Composites in Construction conference in Amsterdam. Rohan has also co-authored a paper on the world’s first composite FRP and concrete wharf for the International Federation for Structural Concrete.
