icubed consulting was commissioned by Brisbane Airport Corporation’s (BAC) property development arm, BNE Property Group to act as the Principal’s Representative for the development and construction of Direct Couriers new warehouse and office located on Qantas Drive at Brisbane Airport.

icubed consulting was engaged at an early stage of the project and assisted the BNE Property Group in the coordination of the design team as well as the coordination with various BAC departments.  In conjunction with the BNE Property Group, icubed oversaw the development of the building design, lodgement of development and building approvals, preparation of the tender documentation and the management and evaluation of the tender process. icubed acted as the superintendent for the contract in a crucial, intermediary role between the main contractor, tenant, developer and other interested parties.  With our multi-disciplinary team, icubed were able to call upon their expert internal advice to provide additional value to their project management services enabling them to ensure the best outcome was obtained for the BNE Property Group when challenges arose. Being able to quickly obtain the opinion and advice from our internal engineering and design team, allowed icubed to quickly address items and provide timely advice. When the Direct Couriers required late changes to the office layout, icubed were able to assist in providing advice and assistance that enabled the project to proceed with minimal interruption to provide the outcome Direct Couriers desired.

The main contractor Tomkins Commercial and Industrial Builders have delivered an outstanding new facility for Direct Couriers and icubed consulting are proud to have been involved in assisting the BNE Property Group in delivering an exceptional outcome.
